Lately, in the Kumkum Bhagya episodes, everything has been going in favor of the much-hated antagonist of the show, Monisha. Kumkum Bhagya Episode Written Update for January 20, 2025
The episode starts with Khushi excusing herself to get some water while Monisha wonders who might be calling her from an unknown number. She then confronts Khushi and warns her to stay away from RV. Monisha gets a call from the same number and turns out it’s Netra. She says she has escaped from the prison and asks for INR 20 Lakh in return for her silence. She says that she’ll take the money and go away for good. After a lot of arguments, Monisha agrees to pay her off.
Monisha wonders how to get the amount on such short notice when she hears the Malhotras talking about money. Harman asks Harleen if they’ve safely kept the money sent by Jaswant aside, and Vaishali says that she has kept it in the locker in Deepika’s room. Monisha listens to this and walks away to get the money to pay off Netra.
Later, Dadaji, Harman, Jaswant, and Vikrant are seen standing with Dadiji, Harleen, Vaishali, and Deepika. The couples tease each other, express their love, and share some cute, emotional, family moments with each other.
On the other side, Purvi notices that Khushi seems to be worried. Purvi asks Khushi what’s worrying her and Khushi in turn asks Purvi if she’s happy in this house. Purvi answers positively and Khushi asks her about her relationship with RV. Purvi says that you’ve already seen how RV cares for me. Khushi then asks Purvi if RV loves her and Purvi recalls the time he said that he likes Monisha. Khushi asks Purvi to swear on her and tell the truth. However, Purvi gets a call and runs away to take it. Khushi spots Diya and asks her to tell the truth about Purvi and RV’s relationship.
Meanwhile, we see that the call Purvi got, was from a police officer. She informs Purvi that Netra has escaped from prison and she could come there to harm her. She says that Netra feels Purvi betrayed her by telling Monisha about her plans to go to Pune. Thus, Netra is now against Purvi as well. Deepika notices Purvi worriedly talking on the phone while Monisha tries to open the locker in Deepika’s room to steal the money.
Purvi continues to question Diya and she tells Khushi the truth about RV and Purvi’s relationship. Diya tells her that their relationship has changed a lot over time and tells her that RV really cares for Purvi. She then asks Khushi if Purvi wasn’t important or special for RV, why would he risk his life for her? Khushi misunderstands that RV is caring for Purvi because of his feelings for Khushi. She runs to meet Purvi.
Khushi hugs Purvi and asks if she’ll ever be able to forgive her. Purvi is confused to hear this. Khushi starts getting hiccups and RV notices this. He recalls that she needs to be shocked positively to stop the hiccups. RV comes, holds her hand, and tells Khushi that he loves her shocking both the girls. He then clarifies that he loves her as his sister-in-law. Khushi’s hiccups stop and Purvi asks RV how he knew about this. RV says it’s common for hiccups to stop when the person is shocked.
Deepika then tells Monisha about Netra getting out of the prison, and Monisha asks her for the code to the locker. Deepika tells her the code and Monisha goes to open the locker. She forgets the code and enters the wrong digits. She then calls Dushyant to ask for money but he doesn’t pick up. Then, she receives a call from Netra who tells her that she has arrived at the Malhotra mansion. Monisha then calls Jasbir for help and informs her about Netra being out of prison and asking for money.
