An Indian adaptation of the Korean drama “Flower of Evil,” Duranga made a mark on viewers with its intense storyline and complex characters. As the story progresses we’re introduced to Bala’s son Abhishek Banne, a key character in the series who is haunted by his father’s sinister past. Even today, he carries the burden of being labeled a “monster child.” While he flees from his past, Abhishek finds refuge in the Patel family. That’s where he takes on a new identity, that of Sammit. Yes, Sammit, Ira’s husband and her daughter’s doting father. While all the evidence points to Sammit/Abhishek, Ira’s gut tells her something else. She follows her gut and brings the real culprits to light. Everything seems to be getting better, but that’s when the Patel couple’s real son, the real Sammit, wakes up. How would the real Sammit’s arrival affect Abhishek Banne’s new life? After knowing the entire truth, will Ira still stay with Abhishek? At the end of season 1 of this crime thriller, the viewers are left with all these questions and more.
