Lately, Kumkum Bhagya episodes have become quite intense. While RV and Purvi were saved from Netra’s plans, Monisha and Dushyant came up with a new way to create trouble for the couple. Kumkum Bhagya Episode Written Update for January 8, 2025
The episode starts with the family wondering why Purvi isn’t here with the breakfast yet. Vaishali decides to go and get it herself but Dada and Dadi say that they’re not hungry yet as they’re enjoying the tea made by Purvi. Then, Dadi says that she’s thinking of going for a walk. Dada says he’ll also go with her which she denies. After a few minutes of banter, RV enters and convinces Dadi to take Dada along with her. Then Purvi comes and asks Harleen if she can go to the temple. She says she had decided to go and pray at the temple if RV feels better. Harleen says she’ll also join her and Monisha informs her Dad about this plan. Dushyant calls his goon and asks him to meet at the goddess temple.
Purvi and Harleen reach the temple and the priest says that everything is ready. When Harleen enquires what it was for, Purvi says that she thought of doing a hawan for the family. Harleen feels really happy to see this and blesses Purvi. She then gets a call from Monisha and steps aside to talk to her. Meanwhile, Purvi starts with the preparations for the hawan. Monisha asks Harleen where she was and the latter says that she’s at the temple. Monisha apologizes, makes up an excuse, and cuts the call. She then informs her father about Harleen’s location.
Monisha reaches the temple and calls her Dad. She then covers her face with a scarf and sunglasses. Under that disguise, she gets out of her car and goes to her Dad’s car. Dushyant asks Monisha to share a picture of Harleen. Monisha hesitates but Dushyant insists that she share it. Once she does, Dushyant forwards this picture to his men and says to do whatever needs to be done with this woman. Monisha is shocked to learn this and immediately snatches his phone. She says you can’t do that to Harleen Aunty. She further asks him to do whatever he wishes with Purvi, not Harleen. Meanwhile, inside the temple, Purvi and Harleen are doing the hawan. The fire gets intense for a moment and this scares Purvi. She worries that this might indicate some impending danger to the family.
Meanwhile, RV and Yug are going to the office by car. RV is driving extremely slow and Yug asks him to speed up a bit. RV explains that he’s driving slowly since his mom, Harleen has asked him to drive carefully. Yug asks RV to let him drive which he denies. Suddenly a speeding car comes in front of them, leaving them shocked. Then RV swaps seats with Yug and he starts driving. RV gets a feeling that something is about to go wrong.
Back at the temple, Monisha and Dushyant are arguing in the car. Monisha asks him not to harm Harleen but Purvi. However, Dushyant says that if you harm Purvi, she’ll get closer to RV. Whereas if you harm Harleen, and blame it on Purvi, RV will grow distant from her. Although Monisha hesitates initially, Dushyant convinces her to go ahead with his plan.
Inside the temple, the hawan has been completed successfully. Harleen and Purvi feel relieved as the priest blesses their family with safety and prosperity. Purvi and Hareeln take the prasad and leave. The priest calls Purvi and offers her a sacred thread. He asks her to tie it to RV’s wrist as it’ll protect him from any harm. Purvi is happy to hear this and leaves to go back home. Meanwhile, Harleen has already left the temple.
Meanwhile, Yug drops off RV for a meeting. RV seems distressed and Yug asks him to not worry and to try to focus on the work. Yug leaves, and RV feels uneasy and calls Yug again asking him to come pick him up. RV says that he needs to see his mom right away.
Outside the temple, a car is approaching Harleen. Monisha and her Dad can see this. Dushyant asks Monisha to make her decision and take the call. After a lot of thought, Monisha asks Dushyant to do whatever he deems fit. The car speeds towards Harleen and crashes into her. Harleen’s body tumbles over the car and falls on the road covered in blood. Purvi rushes to her side and asks for help. Monisha and Dushyant also quickly arrive there and offer to take Harleen to the hospital. They rush her to the hospital in Dushyant’s car while RV continues to feel uneasy, and worried about his mom.
