A new era has begun for one of the most popular TV shows on ZEE5, Kumkum Bhagya with Purvi and RV’s daughter, Prarthana as the lead. Last week we saw some heartbreaking episodes that ended in Monisha stabbing Purvi and throwing her off the cliff. Meanwhile, Rajvansh helplessly watched it all through video call and eventually met with an accident. Meanwhile, RajVi’s daughter Prarthana was adopted by a couple who just lost their child. Now, without further ado, let’s begin Prarthana’s story with this Kumkum Bhagya written update for the episodes aired between 18 to 23 February 2025.
Kumkum Bhagya Written Updates: 18-23 February
In the episode aired on February 18, 2025, we were introduced to Prarthana(Pranali Rathod, a beautiful, loving, and kind girl. Meanwhile, at the temple, Prarthana’s father is performing the aarti for Badi Haveli’s Baa who asks about Prarthana. Prarthana comes home after clicking a picture of her sister Gayatri’s results and makes a dessert to celebrate it. Turns out that Gayatri failed the exams and was celebrating her failure. Prarthana couldn’t understand this because she doesn’t understand English. Her mother gets upset with her while her dad tries to pacify her. Meanwhile, Baa feels that everyone has organized a birthday surprise for her.
In the Kumkum Bhagya episode aired on February 19, 2025, Prarthana makes Gayatri understand the importance of education and she promises to do better in the next exams. Prarthana goes to meet Baa and she tells her all about her birthday surprise while writing a letter to her grandson Raunak(Akshay Bindra). Meanwhile, Smita says that the preparation is for Raunak’s birthday celebration. At the temple, everyone enjoys the Bhajangs sung by Prarthana and her dad. The family gathers to cut Raunak’s cake and Baa is disappointed to know that the surprise wasn’t for her. Raunak comes there and surprises the family. He then wishes Baa and gets a cake for her. They celebrate their birthdays together.
In the episode aired on February 20, 2025, Raunak briefly sees Prarthana but isn’t able to see her face. Then he goes home and Smita prepares Undhiyu for him. She pampers him while his sister, Sneha, complains to him about Smita’s bias towards Raunak. Prarthana gets called to help by Smita and she immediately leaves for the Thakur house. There, Payal arrives to meet Raunak and Prarthana runs into her. Raunak’s aunts send Prarthana to his room to get some things for the Puja. Prarthana accidentally sees Raunak in a towel and hides behind the curtain. Payal enters his room and tries to flirt with him. He sends her away and goes near the curtain.
In the Kumkum Bhagya episode from February 21, 2025, Raunak pulls aside the curtain to reveal Prarthana. He remembers her from the childhood they spent together. This makes Prarthana happy. When Raunak finds out that Prarthana doesn’t know English, he offers to teach her and asks her to teach him maths. Then Raunak asks Prarthana to find out why Payal is being over-friendly with him. Baa invites Prarthana to the jewelry store inauguration. Kanti recalls the start of his business. Raunak helps with jewelry sales and all the girls flock around him. Baa gives some money to Prarthana and asks her to buy something for her mother.
In the episode aired on February 22, 2025, Prarthana checks a gold ring and becomes disappointed on hearing its price. Smita comes to humiliate her but looks at the media and offers her a special discount. Smita also suggests she buy a silver coin and act nice to impress the media. Sneha’s fiance Vihaan comes with his family and meets everyone. Payal and her mother Ketki visit the store. Smita and Ketki try to get Raunak and Payal to spend some time together but the duo end up arguing. Raunak even gifts Payal an earring calling her a guest. Smita and Ketki say that this isn’t what they expected. Prarthana overhears this and shares some half-baked information with Raunak. Payal decides to gift Raunak something in return. Meanwhile, Raunak holds Prarthana’s wrist and takes her aside to talk.
In the Kumkum Bhagya episode aired on February 23, 2025, Prarthana asks Raunak to not hold her hand as people might start talking if he holds anybody’s hand like that. Raunak clarifies that she’s not just anybody but his childhood friend. She still asks Raunak not to hold her hand and he agrees. Then Raunak asks Prarthana to keep an eye on Payal to learn about her intentions with him. Later, Payal comes there and drags Raunak away to give him the gift. He asks her not to hold his hand and another argument ensues between them. Payal criticizes Prarthana for listening to their conversation and Raunak defends her calling her his friend. Baa calls her and Prarthana goes. Payal then gifts a bracelet to Raunak which he doesn’t like. When Payal says that it’s rude to return a gift, Raunak gifts it to Baa. Payal is furious to see this. Smita and Ketki also witness this. Raunak says that he doesn’t wear such styles and thus gifted it to Baa since it’s her birthday as well. Payal dashes out of there.
