Kumkum Bhagya has seen love stories through generations. After Abhi-Pragya, Prachi-Ranbir, and Rajvansh-Purvi, now it’s time for Prarthana and Raunak’s love to blossom. But wait, looks like there’s a new entry coming in to disrupt their sweet little love story. Yes, I’m talking about the entry of Namik Paul in Kumkum Bhagya as Shivansh. He’s just been in one episode, but we already see him making a splash. So far, this popular TV show has been led by Pranali Rathod and Akshay Bindra as Prarthana and Raunak, with Gurdip Punjj as Smita Zaveri being the biggest obstacle in their life. However, looks like Smita’s son and Raunak’s half-brother, Shivansh, is here to shake things up. Want to know more about it? Kumkum Bhagya Written Updates: 21-27 April
In the episode aired on April 21, 2025, Purvi takes Prarthana and Raunak to the hospital after saving them from Bhavesh and his goons. She also donates blood to Prarthana. Elsewhere, Smita cries, thinking about Raunak’s injury. Later, Raunak comes across Purvi’s name on an official form and wonders if she’s Prarthana’s biological mother.
In the Kumkum Bhagya episode aired on April 22, 2025, Raunak requests the nurse to do Prarthana and Purvi’s DNA test. Payal asks Bhavesh and his goons to go and kill Prarthana. Elsewhere, Prarthana regains her consciousness, and Raunak tells her that he is going to give her a gift.
In the episode aired on April 23, 2025, Karan Luthra from your beloved TV show, Kundali Bhagya, entered the story as the new trustee of the hospital. Karan is looking for Preeta, who accidentally got sent to an unknown branch of this same hospital. It is revealed that Preeta is indeed in the same hospital. He then meets Prarthana and bonds with her over shared grief. Later, Raunak reveals to Purvi that Prarthana is her biological daughter and shows them the DNA test results. After a while, Smita reaches the hospital and humiliates Prarthana.
In the Kumkum Bhagya episode aired on April 24, 2025, Purvi comes to Prarthana’s defence. She claims that she’s Prarthana’s biological mother and faces Smita’s allegations head-on. Later, Purvi asks Raunak to take care of Prarthana and leaves with the police. Meanwhile, Karan keeps searching for Preeta and accidentally stumbles upon someone else.
In the episode aired on April 25, 2025, Raunak seeks Smita’s approval to marry Prarthana. Smita is hurt that he’s choosing Prarthana over her. However, after the entire family backs him, including Kanti, Smita reluctantly agrees to Raunak and Prarthana’s wedding.
In the Kumkum Bhagya episode aired on April 26, 2025, Shubhvi comes to confront Smita about her decision. Smita then reveals that he has just agreed for the sake of the family, but she’ll never let the marriage happen. The next morning, the Zaveris reach Prarthana’s house and formally ask for her hand in marriage. Prarthana and her family agree, and the preparations start. Later, Raunak invites Prarthana to the sangeet of a business friend. On the way to the Sangeet, Prarthana and Gayatri face unexpected trouble, and a handsome knight in shining armour comes to their rescue. At the Sangeet, Karan gets happy to see Prarthana.
In the episode aired on April 27, 2025, Prathana and Raunak talk to Karan, and the latter informs him about their wedding. Later, the handsome man from earlier turns out to be the groom, Shivansh. He performs with his fiancée Sonalika on a romantic song. Gayatri is captivated and tells Prarthana that she wished on a shooting star for this marriage to fall apart so that Shivansh becomes the son-in-law of their house. Later, Payal berates Prarthana, and Gayatri gives it back to her.
