He’s cute, he loves Prarthana, and would do absolutely anything for her. Akshay Bindra delivers an amazing performance as Raunak. On the other side, there’s this morally grey character Shivansh, who’s heartbroken and would do anything to get revenge on the ones who hurt him. But he’s also a broken soul who just needs love. And the handsome Namik Paul playing Shivansh doesn’t make the choice between these two any easier. While we were emotionally stuck between these two, Prarthana is now actually stuck between these half-brothers after Shivansh deceitfully marries her. Kumkum Bhagya Written Updates: 5-11 May
In the episode aired on May 5, 2025, Shivansh throws something into the sacred wedding fire, and a cloud of smoke engulfs the Zaveri Mansion. The wedding comes to a halt, and the bride and groom are sent to their rooms. Shivansh uses this moment to sedate Bhavesh and take his place. Meanwhile, Raunak escapes and tries to come back for the wedding but is recaptured by Bhavesh’s goons. Shivansh then marries Prarthana. Smita and Payal are overjoyed, thinking it’s Bhavesh who married Prarthana. Later, Preeta blesses them and wishes them a happy married life ahead.
In the Kumkum Bhagya episode aired on May 6, 2025, Smita lifts the groom’s Sehra to expose Shivansh instead of Bhavesh. Everyone starts berating Shivansh for his act, while Mayank and Harsh find Raunak. They rescue him, and Raunak rushes to marry Prarthana. Raunak refuses to believe that Shivansh married Prarthana. He then asks why Shivansh did it. Shivansh blames Smita for his actions. Raunak lashes out at Smita. Shivansh says that he’ll take Prarthana home.
In the episode aired on May 7, 2025, Shivansh asks the priest, who agrees that the wedding was done according to all the Hindu rituals. He then tries to convince Prarthana’s family to perform the Vidaai ritual. Raunak attacks Shivansh, and the police step in to stop the fight. Later, Shivansh convinces Prarthana’s parents, and the Vidaai ritual happens. While leaving, Shivansh blames Smita’s past for all this. Shivansh and Prarthana reach the Randhawa house.
In the Kumkum Bhagya episode aired on May 8, 2025, Shivansh’s Aunt, aka his Bua Maa, refuses to accept this marriage. He explains the reason behind his actions and promises to leave Prarthana soon and marry Sonalika as promised. Smita breaks down after Raunak leaves the house, depressed and longing for Prarthana. Meanwhile, Raunak drinks and drives, thinking about Prarthana.
In the episode aired on May 9, 2025, Shivansh’s aunt finally performs Prarthana’s Griha Pravesh puja and welcomes her home. Meanwhile, an intoxicated Raunak raises a ruckus outside Shivansh’s house. His guards call the police, who escort him back to the Zaveri house. Prarthana asks Shivansh why he married her, but he doesn’t give her a definite answer. He just says that Raunak and Smita hurt him, so this is his revenge.
In the Kumkum Bhagya episode aired on May 10, 2025, Prarthana lashes out at Shivansh for ruining her life by marrying her. She then leaves the room. Elsewhere, Gayatri questions her parents for keeping mum instead of fighting for Prarthana. She tells Seema that she hates her for ruining Prarthana’s life for her sake. Back at the Randhawa house, Prarthana cries herself to sleep. Meanwhile, Preeta still doesn’t remember anything, and the nurse calls her Priya Saluja. The next day, Karan and Preeta pray to be reunited with their family.
In the episode aired on May 11, 2025, Shivansh’s aunt, her daughter, Tanya, and Shivansh talk to Sonalika, who’s eagerly preparing for the wedding. Later, Tanya and her mom go to Prarthana’s house to get her clothes. Elsewhere, Smita reaches the Randhawa house to confront Shivansh. They continue to berate each other, but Shivansh doesn’t reveal much. He just says that Smita hurt someone badly in her past, and this is her Karma. Smita also humiliates Shivansh and his upbringing. Shivansh then clarifies that this rivalry isn’t business-related but personal.
In the upcoming episodes, you’ll see Shivansh promise his aunt to leave Prarthana after the reception. Meanwhile, his aunt goes to meet Smita, who is shocked to see a ghost of her past. Will Smita realize Shivansh is her son? Will they reconcile?
