1. Saru(portrayed by Mohak Matkar)

Let’s start with Saru. Saru isn’t your average village girl. She has ambitions to study and become successful in life. And not only that, if all the hints are to be believed, she might end up being a long-lost heiress of a big business family. Mohak Matkar brilliantly embodies Saru’s innocent yet resilient self as she leads the show.

2. Ved(portrayed by Shagun Pandey)

Next in line is Saru’s knight in shining armor, Ved. If I know anything about TV shows, I’m sure he’s going to be her love interest. Shagun Pandey delivers a fantastic performance as the kind-hearted Ved who simply wishes to help Saru.

3. Anika(portrayed by Anushka Merchande)

Then comes Anika, played beautifully by Anushka Merchande. Anika is a spoiled brat who uses her riches and power to humiliate others. After her first encounter with Saru, Anika hates her and tries everything possible to make her life hell. But now, as the story progresses, Anika could end up being revealed as Saru’s half sister.

4. Gauri(portrayed by Nilam Panchal)

Played by Nilam Panchal, Gauri is Saru’s mother. A few flashbacks show that she has had some terrible experiences in the past and hence fears for Saru’s life. That’s also one of the biggest reasons she doesn’t want Saru to go to Mumbai. Saru calls her Mairi and its the cutest thing ever.

5. Saru’s Nana(portrayed by Ramakant Daayama)

Saru’s Nana, or her beloved “Old Man” as she calls him, is one of the biggest supports in her life. Despite his daughter’s fear of the past. This old man supports his granddaughter in her journey. In fact, he helps her run away from the house to pursue her dreams.

6. Tara(portrayed by Sonica Handa)

Next in the list is Ved’s Mom, Tara. Played beautifully by Sonica Handa, Tara is also a high-class woman. She’s very particular about things, and the entire family works around her wishes.

7. Urmila(portrayed by Vibhaa Bhagat)

Now let’s talk about Anika’s Mom, Urmila. Played by Vibhaa Bhagat, Urmila is the one who has spoiled Anika to bits. Every time Anika asks for something, Urmila gets it done immediately. For instance, stopping Saru’s admission.

8. Kaminidevi(portrayed by Kamalika Guha Thakurta)

Meet the biggest antagonist of the show, the reason for Gauri’s fears, Kaminidevi. Played by Kamalika Guha Thakurta, Kaminidevi is Anika’s Naani and Urmila’s mother. When she found out the boy Urmila liked was in love with Gauri and also had a kid with her, she sent her men to kill them both. Meaning she tried to kill Gauri and Saru. Yet, somehow, they both survived. And now, when Saru reunites with her family, one of her biggest enemies would be Kamini.

9. Chandru(portrayed by Pankit Thakker)

Next in line is Chandru. Played by Pankit Thakker, Chandru was Gauri’s husband, who now believes her to be dead. He then got married to Urmila and is Anika’s father. But that also means that Chandru is Saru’s father. The two already share a great bond, which will only get better once the truth is out.

10. Annapurna(portrayed by Swati Chitnis)

Last but not the least is Saru and Anika’s Daadi, Annapurna. Played by Swat Chitnis, Annapurna is an old woman from a rich family who is desperately waiting for her long-lost granddaughter to return. Despite Kamini saying that they’re dead, Annapurna believes that her granddaughter will come and find her one day. She has also met Saru and is reminded of her granddaughter when she looks at the young girl. These two also share a beautiful bond already.
